  • You can see the Cremona hiding under the ride cymbal in the photo, and the TC-67 AU on the snare.

  • Unless my ears deceive me, I believe the TC-67Au is clipping on almost every snare hit. Those tube mics make great overheads, but they usually can't handle a snare that close. The complete mix sounds great though. I didn't notice until I played clip #3.

  • You are correct. Strange how it works in the mix, though, isn't it? In "the old days" engineers would use U67s or U87s on snare drums! I figured it was worth a try with my TC-67. BTW, it works amazing on sidestick, as you might expect.
