I placed the mic about a foot away from myself and the guitar pointing near the 15th fret.

Hey Laurie, here's the file after I tweaked it a bit. I duplicated the track and slightly delayed the duplicate panned to the right so that it would have a stereo effect, added a little EQ, compression, and reverb, and boosted the overall volume a bit. 5-minute job but see what you think.

Yeah I figured out how to fix that after I had already uploaded it. Thanks though!By Laurie on Dec 7, 2007 at 12:57 am

Hi Laurie, I was impressed by this performance so I took it and converted it to Mono and send it through an EQ to get the resonsance frequencies of the room away (around 180Hz) - after I used a LA2a leveler and a 1176 compressor - only to smothen the peaks a little - I did almost no compression. I left the noisefloor on it because it sounds like a vintage tape recording this way - you sould hear it - and everybody else as well, to estimate the great ADK s51a microphone !By Henry on Aug 24, 2010 at 7:26 pm
