Description

Live recording of a band using the Sony MS 907 stereo microphone into a Sony Hi-MD Walkman MZ-RH1. The microphone was placed on a chair, with the bass amp about 6 feet to the left, the guitar amp about 8 feet the the right, and the drums directly in front, about 7 feet away.

  • Seems like an easy and effective way to capture a band practice. Nice dynamic range, only a little clipping, a bit harsh and glassy in the upper mids, but an overall pleasant live jam.
