Female Vocal, ADK TT-251Au Microphone, Millenia HV-3C Preamp, Lavry Blue DA Converter, BAE 10DC Compressor/Limiter, Lavry Blue AD Converter
Settings were 4:1 Ratio, fastest (2ms) attack and slower recovery (release). Limiter off so compression only. Notice how the maximum peak volume is still about the same but the quieter words that were in the background are now brought up with others. Plus the whole tracks sounds warmer and bigger.

Again with a 4:1 Ratio, fastest attack and slower recovery (release). Limiter off. And again, the quieter words like "Don't you think" that were in the background are now brought up with the others and their is a tonal enhancement to the whole track.
