I tracked this song, then the band took it home to mix it themselves, and then they brought it back to me for mastering.

The mixed 24/96 WAV file was imported into Samplitude V9 and then run through the analog mastering chain which was:

RME Fireface 800 (DA) -> CraneSong IBIS EQ -> CraneSong STC-8 Compressor -> Empirical Labs Fatso -> Apogee AD16X -> Samplitude V9 at 32-bit Float.

Then I added some parallel compression on an Auxiliary bus with the UAD-1 1176N.

We also added some slight tape hiss noise just to make it feel a little more analog. I put a Waves L2 on the master bus to increase the overall volume and lightly limit. The band is Canoe.
