 Description
The converters were an Apogee AD16X and RME Fireface 800. All tracks were recorded simultaneously but the drums were in a different room than the guitars (to avoid massive drum bleed in the guitar mics).

The Snare and Bass DI were lightly compressed by an Empirical Labs Fatso on the way in. Other than that, none of the tracks have added effects (no added EQ, Compression, or Reverb). The only adjustments were volume and panning. The tracks were recorded in Samplitude V9 Pro at 24/96 and mixed down to 16/44.1 .WAV with POW-r#3 dither.

The band is Canoe (vocals and additional instruments will be added later).

To hear how this band sounded after being mixed and mastered see my Mastering Acoustic Band post.

The hissing, that's most noticeable in the beginning, is coming from the Fishman Pickup on the Acoustic bass (see clip number 10). It was a noisy pickup, but the hissing noise was mixed out later with a little EQ and noise reduction software.
