This was done in the same session as the FET II AU mono overhead samples. The mics are a slightly modified X/Y, which I normally don't use. I'm typically a "spaced pair" kinda guy. Anyway, the mics were centered roughly over the rack tom, with the mesh heads almost touching and pointing outward at about 45 degrees from vertical/horizontal.
