ADK S-7B and Blue Woodpecker Compared on Saxophone

| Feb 17, 2012 | 2,850 Views | Share

Description

Both mics were placed close together about a foot in front of the saxophone hole (facing it). Both the ADK S-7 and the Blue Woodpecker were run into identical API 3124+ channels with 48V phantom power engaged on both channels (the Woodpecker can also be used without phantom power but it was on for this test). The API channels were connected directly to an Apogee AD16X converter and recorded into Samplitude via an RME Fireface 800. No compression, EQ, or anything else was added to these clips.
